Pontus Hedberg
I am a medical doctor by training, currently being a postdoc in Professor Anders Sönnerborg’s research group at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden. My research focuses on severe outcomes during and beyond the acute SARS-CoV-2 infection. My PhD focused on epidemiological comparisons of COVID-19 with other respiratory viruses. Prior to this, I worked on elucidating the effect of human host factors on P. falciparum rosetting, with a special reference to human blood group antigens and the histo-blood group ABO system.
